About PhilanthroPost

PhilanthroPost is a blog designed and written by the UniversalGiving™ team.  Our tagline, as you can see at the top, is “Giving is easy…when you know how.”  We want to help people find the best ways to give–that’s the goal of UniversalGiving, and of PhilanthroPost.

With that in mind, we post about great opportunities to give, volunteer, or otherwise get involved.  That could be a fun resource for playing games on the internet and donating food at the same time, or it might be a story about an action day you can get involved with.  We also love sharing inspirational stories we find about the ways people are helping each other.  We have many opportunities to give or volunteer on UniversalGiving, and if we write about something inspiring we’ll try to suggest a resource to do something with that inspiration.

We believe that giving doesn’t have to be hard, and it doesn’t have to be something that seems big–because everyone can do something, and everything helps the world, when it comes from a sincere desire to make a positive difference.

UniversalGiving™ is a non-profit helping people find the best ways to give or volunteer.  We have hundreds of opportunities–and we try to make it easy!  Find out more on our page About UniversalGiving.

Thoughts, ideas, suggestions for a resource we could share?  We’d love to hear what you have to say!  Feel free to leave a comment, or visit our contact page for our email address.  Thanks for reading!

  1. Dear Universal Giving and Philanthropost

I am the founder of a 501(c) public charity called Comfort Socks.

Comfort Socks provides new socks to homeless shelters coast to coast, across the United States. we are inspired by offering comfort to those going through a difficult time, and the warmth and secure feeling of new socks is our way of accomplishing that. We began our work last Oct (2008) and our warehouse is located in North Carolina.

We would like to be listed on your site, to inspire volunteers and donations of socks, funds and time.

What would be the best way to do this?

Please check our website at http://www.comfortsocksonline.org for information about our work.

I look forward to hearing from you

    Sincerely
    Theresa Tese
